Cookie and privacy policy
Every time a user visits my website, a cookie is placed. That way I can learn more information about how my page is used and this can help me improve the site and my content. An example is tracking which pages gets the most traffic because this tells me about the topics my visitors are most interested in.
On this page I will tell you more about what information is collected when you visit my website and what it is used for. It may be a bit technical, but overall, I’m trying to get an idea of what you like so that I can better customise my content and my ads in case I ever run Facebook ads or Google ads. If you do not want me to collect this kind of information please delete your cookies (see instructions) and avoid further use of my website.
Cookies
My website uses the so-called “cookies”. This is a text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, mobile phone or similar device for the purpose of recognizing it, remembering settings, performing statistics and if necessary, target ads. If you delete or block cookies, ads on the internet may become less relevant to you and occur more frequently. In addition, you also risk that my site is not working optimally and that there are content you are not able to access. My website contains third-party cookies, including Google Analytics and Facebook cookies.
Personal data
Personal data is any kind of information that may be attributed to you to some extent. When you use my website, I (or more specifically the third party programs I use, like Google Analytics and Facebook) collect some information. This happens when you click on my content, sign up to my newsletter, register yourself as a user, purchase a product or otherwise use my services.
Typically, the types of information that are collected and processed are: A unique ID, technical information about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP number, estimated geographic location, and the pages you clicked on. I cannot see things like your name, adress or phone number from i.e. Google Analytics.
I will only receive informations like your name, phone number, email, address and payment information if you explicitly consent to this and type in the information yourself, for example when you check out, fill out a form/questionnaire, create a login, or sign up for a newsletter or freebee. I will never be able to see your credit card number, account number or other information related to your payment card. I use SSL on my website and payments will always be made on a secure connection.
Purpose
In order to explain why I collect this information I have mad a list of the programs I use and why I use them.
Google Analytics:
I use Google Analytics for statistical purposes, ie. to see how often my website is visited and from which countries visitors come from. I’m also interested in knowing which pages are most visited and which links are clicked the most. That way, I can optimize the website and its content so that it becomes more relevant and easy to use for my visitors.
Facebook:
I use Facebook cookies in my marketing and a Facebook cookie is automatically added when you visit my website. The information I get is used to potentially show you ads for my site and my products on Facebook if you have a Facebook account. That way I can show you the ads that will be the most interesting to you on.
Payment gateway:
When you purchase a product in my webshop, the purchase, the billing information and the payments is recorded in my webshop and by the payment gateway Stripe. That way, I can automatically deliver you your product, the invoice, and create the necessary papers for my accounting.
Accounting:
My accounting is done using Storebuddy.dk and Dinero.dk. Your billing data will be recorded in these programs so that I comply with book keeping Danish laws. These purchase datas can also be accesed by my accountant.
Newsletter:
If you sign up to my newsletter or any of my video courses/free pdf downloads, I will receive your name and email address. That way, I can send you the newsletter or deliver the videos/downloads to you. The newsletter provider I use for this is Aweber. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the newsletters.
Lenght of storage
The above information is kept for the time allowed by law, and I delete the information when it is no longer necessary. The length of the period depends on the nature of the information and the reason for keeping it. Therefore, it is not possible to specify a general time frame within which the information is deleted.
Safety and precautions
I have done everything I can, both technically and organizationally, to prevent your information from being accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, degraded, leaked, abused or otherwise used in violation with the current law.
Extra sensitive information
If you participate in a coaching session or an online course with me, you will most likely share some personal information about yourself. This information is handled confidentially and will not be passed on or shared with any third parties. During a coaching session or coaching program I will take notes if you permit it. That way you don’t have to repeat everything you have previously told me in case you book a coaching with me at a later point in time. I will save these notes for a maximum of 5 year unless you tell me to destroy them before that time. These notes are kept safe and can only be accessed by me, Louise Koch. If you want a copy of the notes just message me at louise@fruitylou.com and I will send it to you.
Information in emails and messages
I recommend that you do not share sensitive information about yourself in e-mails or in messages on social media, for example on Facebook or Instagram. The reason is that these media are not safe and may be hacked or accessed by third party.
Coaching software
I use the app Zoom Cloud meeting for my coaching calls as I find them to have a very high security level. Other apps such as Skype, Facetime and Facebook calls can be hacked or accessed by third party and are therefore not allowed for coaching purposes where personal information is shared.
Disclosure of information
Information like how you use my website, which ads you receive/click on on Facebook, your estimated geographic location, your gender and age segment, etc. is collected by and therefore shared with third parties like Google Analytics and Facebook to the extent that this information is known and gathered by these parties. You can see which third parties I use in the “Cookies” section above. In case I ever run ads this information is used to reach the right viewers of these ads.
In addition, I use a number of third parties for storing and processing data. These parties handle information on my behalf and are not allowed to use the information for their own purposes. Disclosure of your personal information such as name and e-mail, etc. will only happen if you consent to it. I only use providers in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with adequate protection.
Insights and complaints
You are entitled to know what personal information I am processing about you at any time. You may also object to the use or storage of information at any time. You may also revoke your consent to processing information about you. If the information I hold about you is incorrect, you are entitled to get it corrected or deleted. Inquiry about this can be made to louise@fruitylou.com. If you want to complain about any handeling of your personal data, you also have the option to contact the official data protection authoraties.
